What Is WIC?
WIC (Women, Infants, and Children) is a nutrition education program offering healthy foods and other services free of charge. The WIC program helps families by providing access to nutritious foods, promoting healthier eating, education, and assessments. WIC vouchers can be used at local grocery stores for: cereal, milk, juice, cheese, peanut butter, formula, vegetables, eggs, fruits, and whole grains.
Who’s Eligible?
- Pregnant Women
- New Mothers (up to six months after delivery)
- Breastfeeding Mothers (up to one year after delivery)
- Infants (babies under the age of one)
- Children under the age of 5
